First, we have confirmation of one of the operations' goals. It was a relatively easy one to guess. You give us back Ukraine, you first, we pull out of Russia:

We plan to keep the captured territory in Russia indefinitely until we force Putin to sit down at the negotiating table, Zelenskyy told NBC News.

Also, Zelensky said that he could not discuss whether Ukraine plans to try to seize another Russian territory.

According to him, the Biden administration did not know about the operation, and it was kept in strict secrecy even in Ukraine.

So, what else is going on in Kursk? First, Russians' opinions of Akhmat continue to go from bad to worse. It’s not just because they are fierce TikTok warriors or great barrier troops; now, they are looting Kursk. Here via Rospartizan:

Speaking about the war in the Kursk region, Putin today stated that “we need to deal with the bandits who were trying to destabilize the situation in the border area.”
