Ukraine has freed multiple settlements. This is along the West Bank of the Dnipro river. The source of the map is Military Land. This offensive seems to be cutting off Russian troops to the west of this line of advance. This is a large group that has had trouble with supplies for at least a month.

This is where the most capable forces remain in the Russian order of battle. This is going well for the Ukrainian armed forces, and at this point, it looks like that line has collapsed.

In Luhansk, the situation is dangerous for both Russians and rebel militia. According to Volymedia:

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were not able to create a somewhat serious defense center in Kremennaya, Rubizhnoye, Severodonetsk and Lisichansk, although there was time for this from September 13–15. The battles for Liman gave the RF Armed Forces more than two weeks of time, but, apparently, they did not use it.

“They started leaving Lisichansk immediately after they lost Izyum and Kupyansk. Now to keep it is only to lose people. In Severodonetsk, for more than two weeks now, units have been constantly chasing back and forth.
