An American Fifth Column

This is a serious concern in any Democracy. Especially on the edge of war. The American right is urging a further slowdown of American logistics. Senator Rand Paul, among others, is urging American truckers to block the Super Bowl or DC, or he is leaving the quiet part quiet, the border.

All this is about borders, ethnic states, globalization, vaccination.

Comparisons are regularly made online, or by truckers on Livestream at the Ambassador Bridge, to North Korea or NAZI Germany. This is ironic since they are using the exact freedom of speech they claim they don’t have.

The fifth column encourages this thinking while using free speech to say this. We live in a nation where speech can be pretty horrific, but it is protected.

What is this speech getting used for these days? To be precise, how is it being abused? There are the usual attacks on minorities. Antisemitism, anti-immigrant and anti-black speech is very American. Or at least for a certain loud fringe. These days people who ascribe to these views are also pushing to ban and burn books. They want to remove woke people, code for left and Jewish, from public life.

This also means stopping any kind of university education, or academic research. Anything that may challenge a white, traditional family, Christian view of the world is woke. It is…
