Alliances, Democracy, Active Measures

First, let’s start with where the Axis is moving. The parallels to that road to the Second World War are too obvious to be ignored. We also ignored that axis until it was no longer possible. And by we, I mean democracies.

So here is the kind of strategic partnership we also saw on that road. Yes, it’s not precisely the same because it’s an echo. History does not repeat itself to a T:

Lavrov announced a strategic partnership agreement between Russia and Iran. It is reported that both countries will soon sign the relevant documents. Lavrov emphasized that this agreement emphasizes strengthening ties between Moscow and Tehran in the military sphere, both at the regional and global levels.

Let me remind you that Russia already has similar agreements with the DPRK, and Pyongyang itself has long been cooperating and helping Tehran. Russia’s new agreement on strategic partnership with Iran effectively closes this triangle of the axis — Russia — DPRK — Iran with a galaxy of puppet states or states whose territory is used as a passageway: Belarus, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, etc.

That is, these are no longer abstract cliches about some axis — this is precisely a block of friendly and allied states with specific goals and common plans. What role China plays in all this — we will leave this to the experts and political scientists to judge.

Why some leading Western powers, seeing all this and perfectly understanding where it is going, do nothing about it
