Actually raids are part of shaping operations. I expect more of these, and it fixes Russian troops in place. It presents a serious dilema for Valery Gerasimov, transfer these troops to Ukraine to fight, or try to defend the actual national border.

Also, these two units are Russians. Granted, the RDK is led by some really unsavory characters. But these are Russians. And when I say unsavory, one at least is an open Neonazi. He became one in Russia. So there is that. Bellingcat has done amazing work with this aspect
