A Purge is Underway on Twitter

Update: Overnight Musk was challenged by reporters on a Twitter space. What did Musk do? Leave the space and close Twitter Spaces of course. This is not insanity. I know people are saying this because it is almost incomprehensible for people living in open societies. However, this is precisely how authoritarians function.

Oh, without any sense of irony, here is the relevant tweet. It’s captured for posterity and history. It’s a crucial moment. At least Howard Hughes had these in private.

Incidentally, both Germany and the EU are now pointing out this may violate European press freedom laws. Will Twitter abandon the market? Will it face fines it can ill afford? We shall see.
