A Hate Crime?
The murder of eight people in Atlanta by a single man brings up the question, was this a hate crime? Robert Aaron Young, 21, was arrested and is the suspect in this case. Six of the victims were women and Asian. This young man told authorities that he had a sex addiction. And that he wanted to stop the temptation. He may very well have been a customer as well.
We have no idea of what all his motives are. However, this was a targeted attack against a single group of people. One that has been under constant attack since COVID first came out and the former president called COVID the “china flu.” We have seen a dramatic increase in crimes against Asian-Americans, and now we may have had mass murder.
Young apparently told the authorities that he had a sex addiction. The fact that he killed six women also points to the same possibility. Young could be an involuntary Celibate, INCEL for short. This is a right-wing ideology, pregnant with misogyny and the idea that men deserve to get sex on demand. The fact that other far right-wingers do not like Incels is beside the point. The fact is that Incels are angry at the world because, among other things, women’s liberation and equality led to women taking their jobs and not going to bed with them on demand.
These people are angry because women tend not to want to go out with them. They tend to be loners, who also chose hobbies…
